The following concern Emily Bronte's book Wuthering Heights. I've taken the excerpts from various reviews. You can find the full reviews at this address:

We rise from the perusal of Wuthering Heights as if we had come fresh from a pest-house. Read Jane Eyre is our advice, but burn Wuthering Heights...

Ouch.

Reviewer: James Lorimer Publication: North British Review Date: about 1847

Here all the faults of Jane Eyre (by Charlotte Brontë) are magnified a thousand fold, and the only consolation which we have in reflecting upon it is that it will never be generally read.

Again, ouch.

Here are what other people said.

This is a work of great ability, and contains many chapters, to the production of which talent of no common order has contributed...

Wuthering Heights, by Ellis Bell, is a terrific story, associated with an equally fearful and repulsive spot...

Just because people don't like it, doesn't mean your story isn't good. Write because you love to do it. One person's opinion is just that.

Hey, everybody.

Have any of you writers ever had a character that frustrated you?

Well, Amber drives me crazy. I can't do anything with her. Whenever I try to write her, she whines and complains about her problems. Amber is probably the most grouchy character I have ever written, and, honestly, she's a pain in the neck.

If anyone has advice on what to do with characters like that, please, tell me. Amber's in my head and won't go, and yet she won't let me do anything with her really.

Not only that, I'm stuck on what to do with her. I don't want to give up on her story. But I need to make some changes to her. Not sure all what that's going to entail.

But I think I'm going to start a new story. Right now, I'm plotting out a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. We'll see how that goes. My main character doesn't seem to be as grumpy as Amber, I think I like her... we'll see how this goes.

Hi, Everyone

Hi, everybody.

I haven't updated since December.

And I haven't got an excuse.

Hopefully, you'll find this video funny enough to forgive me.
