Plot Bunnies

I really hate plot bunnies. I get one good idea going, and I start the story, then another idea hops into my head. AH! It's insanely annoying. Last night, yet another plot bunny started hopping around and I can't get it to leave! ARG! (For those of you who don't know, a plot bunny is a story idea that hops around in your head while you're working on something else.)

Coral: Hey! What about us?
Nicki T.: IT'S NOT MY FAULT!!!!!!!
Sir Eli: Have you ever tried telling it you'll save it for National Writing Month!
Nicki T.: I did. And guess what? IT DIDN'T WORK!
Jarek: I don't see how you can think our story is boring.
Nicki T.: It isn't. It just needs some work. I'll get to you eventually. And whatever I research for them benefits you too. And I didn't say I was going to write it first.
Coral (tiptoeing up behind Jarek): Seems that way.
(Coral yells. Jarek jumps and screams.)
Jarek: AH! How many times have I asked you not to do that?
Coral: Thirteen by my count. Did you count fourteen or something?

ACK! I hate plot bunnies!!!!!! Maybe, since something lacks in the idea I have, I'll save it for National Writing Month. That would give me time to work on it. I don't really know. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated.

Coral

Nicki T. (gets up and opens the door): Finally! I was just talking about you.
Levina: That was an astounding entrance.
Coral: Not really. I was standing outside the door, waiting for Nicki to explain before I came in.
Levina: So, are you going to introduce yourself?
Coral: I'm Coral. And you're Levina.
Levina (impressed): How did you know?
Coral: I just told you was waiting outside the door. I had my ear pressed to it.
Nicki T. (laughing): Why am I not surprised?
Coral: Possibly because you created me and you know my every habit and liking. Though I might surprise you at times with my behavior.
Nicki T.: Why don't I doubt that in the least?
Coral: Because you created me and knock I delight in surprising people?
Nicki T.: You do at that.
Sir Eli: Welcome to the cast. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Coral: Knowing Nicki, I won't. I heard what she did to Selene a couple weeks ago.
Nicki T.: You obviously know me fairly well.
(Jarek snores from the chair. He's out like a light.)
Coral: Sh!
(She tiptoes behind the chair. She gives it a shove and it falls to the floor. Jarek falls out and sits up, looking dazed.)
Nicki T.: Was that really necessary, Coral?
Coral: Not really. Hi, Jarek. I'm Coral.
Jarek: Do you spell that C-O-R-E-L or C-O-R-R-A-L.
Coral: I think you've got the brains to figure that out.
Levina (to Coral): He doesn't.

What do you guys think of Coral? I'm trying to make her mischevious, but not mean in any way.

Levina

Hello, readers of my blog, however few you may be! I have found another tag on Whispers of the Wind and have decided to use it!

What is your name?

Nicki T.

Age

Does that really matter?

What do you like most about writing?

Complete and total control of my characters. (Evil laughter.) Seriously, bringing ideas and thoughts in my head to life is probably the best part. That and if I look up writing websites, they will often mention books that I've never heard of. This is the way I heard about Hunger Games, Blood of Kings, and so many other wonderful books.

How many books are you writing or have written?

Have written? I've lost track. Am writing? Not sure exactly. I try to focus on one story, then some other idea comes in and starts making unreasonable demands for attention.

Now, do this quiz for one of your favorite characters you have come up with for a book.

Name

Princess Levina (I would post a picture, but I don't really have any since I haven't started her story yet.)

Age

Well, when the story starts out, she's probably ten or eleven. Then, after the first bit, I skip ahead several years because what happens in those years isn't important. I haven't quite figured out how many years yet, though, but it's safe to say no older than sixteen at any point during the story.

Hair color

Golden. Her hair is very soft and wavy.

Eye Color

Blue. A deep, vivid, expressive blue, while everyone else in her land has hazel or brown eyes.

Height

No exact height, but she's small at the start of the book. She grows larger toward the end.

Weight

She's very slender, particularly when she's wearing a corset.

Biggest Pet Peeve

People who, for some reason, seem to think that girls make easier targets than boys. She's a sweet person, but people who think she's an easy target are sadly mistaken. (She carries a small knife in part one, but at the beginning of part two carries none. That changes, though.)

Favorite Color

Light blues and dark blues - blues that are in between aren't her thing. Her favorite blue of all, though, is the blue of a stream in the forest, with dappled sunlight sparkling off of it.

Siblings

Prince Quinlan. He's a bit of a wimp, and their uncle uses him after stealing the throne.
Parents

King Ahar and Queen Alina. Queen Alina died when she was four, and the king remarried. Levina's stepmother is named Oriana. I've been considering giving her a half brother by Queen Oriana, but I'm not sure about it yet. I'd probably make him bolder than Quinlan, which would make it more difficult for Levina's uncle (and more interesting to read.)

Anybody like this one? Or have any other tags to suggest to me on characters and stories? I'd welcome them!
